You don’t need someone to catch you. That’s the point. Love isn’t always given back. Jumping is always better than waiting for someone to catch you.You think it’s like slipping while walking over the grass after a rain storm? That will never come close to love. Love is deciding to jump as far as you can into the ocean, even though you know you’ll drown. Love is a willing sacrifice.
I see posts like this and I can’t help but think that everyone’s got it all wrong. This jump implies that there doesn’t have to be anyone to catch you, but it seems like whenever I’m even considering jumping, there’s no one to catch me. Or they seemed like there might be a chance of them catching me but they get all wishy-washy and stupid. It’s going to give me a very cynical worldview if this keeps happening to me.
